After earning his Master's degree at the University of Wyoming, Devin Lea stayed in Laramie for another year to teach Human Geography for our department and ponder his options for pursuing a PhD. He had a tough choice between two excellent programs at the University of Illinois and the University of Oregon. After visiting both schools over Spring Break, followed by several weeks of deliberation, Devin finally decided to head for Eugene, OR/ He will be advised by Dr. Mark Fonstad as he pursues further research on Fluvial Remote Sensing. Devin announced his decision in a dramatic ceremony in our lab earlier this week. Congratulations, Devin!
